Street Names: acid, tabs, trips, stars, lucy
Looks Like: Small squares cut from a larger sheet of special blotting paper that has either been dipped into a tray or sprayed with LSD. Most often the tabs have a picture printed on them e.g. smiley face, fruit, stars etc. Category: Hallucinogenic
Effects:
- Users feel free and may hear and see things differently, such as thinking they are being chased.
- They change the way the senses work.
- Visual effects may be distorted shapes and sizes, things are more colourful and stationary objects look like they’re moving.
- Sounds may be distorted and time slowed down or sped up.
Risks:
- Trips can be good or bad, however once a trip starts it cannot be stopped, they can last anything between 2-12 hours.
- Flashbacks from trips can occur many years after having the trip – which is particularly dangerous if operating machinery/driving at the time of the flashback.
- There is the risk of the user believing what is happening in their minds is real and acting on it - thinking they can fly and fall out of windows/off roofs and so on.
