Looks Like: Powder form but can be prepared as a liquid. It’s usually brown but sometimes off white. Heroin can be cut/mixed with any powder with similar colour for example - ground down brick dust.

- Feel as if they are wrapped in cotton wool.
- Powerful painkiller.
- Users feel sore, shivery, and feverish when the drug is wearing off.
Risks:
- Highly addictive both physically and mentally.
- Users quickly build up a tolerance so they need to take more and more just to get the same hit.
- Risk of overdose and death.
- If injecting then potential damage to veins.
- Sharing needles can lead to blood borne viruses such as hepatitis and HIV.
- The drug can get a grip of the user quickly that can affect their ability to work or function normally.
- Addiction can cause users to steal or commit crimes to fund their habit
