Landed

Volunteer Feedback

So what's it like to be a Landed Volunteer? Here is what some of them have to say.

“It’s very informative; before I came here I didn’t know about half of the drugs and STI’s that I would be speaking to people about. I think that because the message is being given by people almost the same age as them then the young people will respond to that.” - James, age 18

“I wanted to be a youth worker and thanks to Landed I now have two jobs working with youngsters. Landed have been such a big help to me. I feel that we make people aware of the issues and it has given me the confidence to talk to other people about them.” – Danielle, age 19

“We learn something new every week in training and we like getting the chance to pass that information onto others. The young people always tell us that they’ve found out something that they didn’t know before and that makes it all worthwhile.” – Sara, age 18

“Landed is great. Being a peer educator has helped me a lot. I’m more confident in myself nowadays, the people I’ve met there are fantastic and you also get a sense of accomplishment knowing that you are helping out.” – Greig, age 18

“I like the banter and I feel as if I’ve achieved something at the end of every week.” – David, age 17

“The training is enjoyable because the staff don’t overload you with too much information.” – Craig, age 16
