Alison - Worker Wednesday

Worker Wednesday is a blog written by staff to introduce themselves. You can see the rest of the blogs here.

Hi, my name is Alison, and I am the Drug and Alcohol Development Officer here at LANDED. I started with LANDED in September 2020, so I am new to the team.

Before starting at LANDED, I had worked in a few different roles, but most recently, I worked with The Prince’s Trust for about 3 years. In my previous role, I was working with young people in a personal development setting. My role involved helping young people gain different skills, including confidence, communication and team building to help them to take steps towards employment. I have always loved working with young people and hearing about their different opinions and experiences, so when I came across the job for LANDED, I knew it would be a great move for me.

During the short time, I have been at LANDED. I have started expanding my knowledge around the topic of drugs and alcohol and form my own opinions. I have also been learning the workshops and the LANDED way of doing things. The staff have been amazing in sharing their knowledge and experience to help me progress. I will be delivering workshops to young people across North Lanarkshire!

I feel fortunate and excited to have had the opportunity to come and be a part of the LANDED team.
